Cobra in the houses of Italians

An article of the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 ore describes the Cobra approach

February 11, 2015

Italians got the opportunity to learn more about the COBRA Project with the publication of an article on the Project by the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 as part of a special issue on European Union funded research projects.

The article describes what the Cobra approach is, narrating how the project was born and the project’s main aim: identifying and sharing community owned solutions for social and environmental sustainability in the Guiana Shield region of South America. The article presents the participatory and visual research methods which have been used in the project to empower indigenous communities to put forwards their views and needs, and most important it explains why it is so important to look for indigenous community owned solutions and share them.
We hope that this article can inspire other researchers, practitioners, and citizens in Italy to use and share the community owned solution approach!
