Cobra Team on National Television

Odacy spoke about Project COBRA, its mission and goals – highlighting Iwokrama, NRDDB and the communities of the North Rupununi as some of the key partners. Ryan then shared some of the North Rupununi best practices that have been documented by the COBRA Team. He highlighted the challenges faced by local communities and the solutions (best practices) that these communities are using to address these challenges. To conclude this session, Bernie shared the project’s experience of the recent trip to Kwamalasamutu Suriname, where Cobra staff shared the North Rupununi best practices using the Practioner’s Handbook.

This was a great opportunity to highlight COBRA to the entire country. NCN in partnership with Iwokrama will facilitate the airing of the final version of the best practice videos to the nation.
