The establishment of Rupertee started with the movement of a vaquero working on a cattle ranch in Aranaputa Valley. The migration of others to the location came with the inability to pay the lease needed to hold land in Aranaputa. Access to free land is still important for members of the community as it provides access to much needed resources. With the changes coming to the North Rupununi the community has to find ways to adapt. The community explores how these changes are affecting the youth and their culture and how they can resist to such changes. They explore alternatives in their development and how essential having partners is in helping them move forward.
